Tom Costella joined the GA Team in 2018 after being a client and user of our process for three decades. As a seasoned operations executive, Tom brings more than 35 years of experience in business operations, manufacturing, logistics, quality/regulatory affairs, and acquisition integration. He has held key management positions (e.g., director of operations & logistics, vice president of manufacturing & quality, COO, president) at companies with revenues ranging from $4 million to $12 billion.
The best way to capture Tom’s personality is with the phrase “walks softly and carries a big stick.” He has a successful record of building multi-functional business teams, transforming organizational culture, improving profitability, creating and streamlining business systems, and providing innovative solutions to meet customer needs. However, his humility and non-threatening demeanor always shines through, so he’s never someone who thinks he knows it all (even though he’s probably seen it all).
When he engages a new client, he does every bit of research he can and asks a lot of questions to understand how he can be most effective. His drive and motivation to continue making an impact on businesses has not wavered in the least.
When he’s not in the office advising clients, you can find Tommy at the beach with his family, on the golf course, in the crowd at Celtics/Bruins games or enjoying the occasional scotch. A western Mass native, Tom and his better half, Christina, have been married for more than 38 years, raised a son, Peter, and a daughter, Gina. They are now enjoying the glow of grandparenthood. These days, instead of leading high-level operations teams, Tom is under the thumb of his granddaughter and two grandsons—and he wouldn’t have it any other way!
