Take Stock, Then Take Action: Career Satisfaction Strategies

What’s your level of career satisfaction? Do you dream about a new job? A leadership role in your organization? Higher pay? Are you doing work you find meaningful? Has the pandemic left you searching for new opportunities?

Uncertain times can prompt us to take stock of our career satisfaction, but even in calmer years, questions like these persist. This week marks the return of the annual Job Action Day, designed to help people at all stages of their professional lives assess their careers, make plans and take steps to reach new goals.

Whether you’re seeking a job, currently employed, managing a team or running a large business, you can use this occasion to evaluate your current status, and discover ways to adapt and grow in an ever-changing job market.

Tips for Individuals

Growth begins with awareness. Understanding your own personal strengths and challenges takes self-assessment. Personality tests can help you measure yourself in critical areas, and understand what you bring to the table as a valuable team member, and areas where you could improve. Forbes says personality tests “should be an important part of your vocational toolbox.”

We help individuals become more self-aware every day. Our Performance Dynamics® process not only combines three personality inventories that identify 17 different personality- and behavior-driving traits, it also explains the “why” behind the “what,” helping you understand why you act and react in certain ways at work and elsewhere.

Next, personal coaching can guide you towards success by helping you focus on the aspects of your personality that contribute to your success, as well as traits or areas that may be holding you back. Coaching is an increasingly common resource for executives. Forbes also reports that almost one out of every six entrepreneurs are turning to business coaching to become more capable professionally. With over three decades of experience coaching leaders, we offer three levels of one-on-one coaching programs designed to help individuals reach their full potential. Depending on your current role and situation, one could be right for you.

 Tips for Employers

Investing in your team pays dividends. Identifying your future leaders, and grooming them for success can help you harness your company’s fullest potential. Employers use our Performance Dynamics® process, too, to assess the strengths and challenges of their team members, and to identify paths toward optimum personal and professional development that can affect the business overall.

Our leadership training and development, team building and customized workshops are designed to help employers solidify your management team’s effectiveness, identifying and addressing specific issues that could be standing in the way of your employee’s or team’s performance. The stronger your team, the stronger your business.

Career Satisfaction is Our Full-time Job

At Giombetti Associates, every day is Job Action Day. Our mission is to help individuals, teams and businesses reach their maximum potential through consulting, coaching and training. Are you ready to take your next step? Contact us with any questions, or to get started.
