Bobby O’Neil

Senior Advisor

Bobby O’Neil joined Giombetti Associates full-time in 2021 after spending several years partnering with the team on leadership development, talent and organizational effectiveness initiatives. (Whether the team actually wanted him to join became somewhat irrelevant once he moved all of his belongings into the office.)

With more than 20 years of experience spanning engineering, manufacturing, operations leadership and human resources, Bobby has worked in organizations ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to local family-owned businesses. Throughout his career, he found that his greatest satisfaction came not only from the technical/operational challenges, but also from helping people grow, succeed and work more effectively together.

His background has given him a unique perspective on organizations. Part operations leader and part people developer, Bobby enjoys identifying inefficiencies, simplifying complexity and helping teams communicate and collaborate more effectively. He believes that accountability, trust and strong relationships are not at odds with having fun at work—in fact, they often go hand in hand.

Bobby earned both his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and his MBA from Western New England University. He remains closely connected to the University as an adjunct professor in the College of Business and as a volunteer alumni mentor in the College of Engineering.

A lifelong resident of Western Massachusetts, Bobby lives with his wife, two sons and two dogs. They are all passionate Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots fans—yes, including the dogs. When he’s not at work or in the classroom, you’ll likely find him playing or coaching baseball, playing in adult hockey leagues or attempting to convince himself that he can still do everything he could 20 years ago. The results, unfortunately, continue to be mixed.
