Bill Bradford

Senior Advisor

Bill has had two distinct careers/job experiences separated by a period of working as a volunteer kitchen worker at a Western Massachusetts homeless shelter.

Career one culminated with 15 years as President and CEO of a privately held manufacturing company. The business had factories in Massachusetts, Mexico, and China. Bill was hands-on in building teams and in advancing business initiatives. He could be found in engineering meetings, supporting sales, spending time in the factories, and had a presence at customers and suppliers. Bill led the company through times of profound growth but also rapid retrenchment (financial crisis of 2009.) In early 2013, the business was sold and Bill served as an advisor to the new owners for a period of time.

In 2016, Bill started career two when he joined a local marketing company (placed by Giombetti) that outsourced the manufacture of all products. As VP of Operations, Bill managed the activities and performance of its manufacturers, a 3PL, and an internal operations team. Bill invested in these relationships making sure to understand all critical issues, essential with the supply chain interruptions experienced during the covid pandemic.  After six years in this role, Bill took a step back from the all-consuming professional demands of the past 35 years, creating a better work/life balance as he prepares for what is next.

In both careers, Bill worked extensively with Giombetti Associates. Bill put 30 managers collectively through Giombetti’s Leader Development Program, he also benefitted from the Giombetti behavioral assessment by utilizing this tool in hiring and as a means of helping his people understand each other’s styles and how best to work together.

When Bill is not at work, he is spending time with his very supportive wife Patty as well as his three children, two daughters-in-law, and four very active grandchildren. Spending time with family, often on the waters of Long Island Sound brings him the greatest joy.

Finally, Bill can be a contrarian as evidenced by his support of the Los Angeles sports teams (it started with the Brooklyn Dodgers). He receives great pleasure to be in a room full of New England sports fans as the only person rooting against the home team. Yet there have been a couple of February afternoons in the past twenty years that these events were, in Bill’s words, “unfortunate” as Bill’s Rams lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
